  1. I registered with the site and only have access to The Birth of Liberty unit. What am I doing wrong?
    In order to gain access to all units, you must insert an authorization code when registering.

  2. Am I permitted to alter material found on the site?
    Yes, many of the materials found on the site can be edited. However, under your agreement, you are not permitted to distribute material outside of your classroom setting or for resale.

  3. I am a special education teacher and would like to use some of the elementary material with my middle/high school students. How can I best utilize this material with my students?
    The material found in the elementary sections is labeled as "Primary". This allows you to use lower level material without upsetting your students.

  4. Is CICERO a complete U.S. History curriculum?
    While CICERO does meet the U.S. standards for social studies, we are continually adding new material to address individual state standards. If there is a particular activity you would like to see, please contact us and let us know.

  5. In my browser some of the content does not display correctly or does not work.
    CiceroHistory.com supports Internet Explorer 6 or greater, Firefox 2.0 or greater, and Safari on Apple. If you are not using a supported browser, you should upgrade your browser to a supported level. If you are using a supported browser, try accessing the content from a different system using the same browser. If the problem persists, please notify us through the support form located on the support page.

  6. We frequently lose internet access at my school. What can I do to ensure that the material I need is available?
    Feel free to download material and save it to your desktop in order to have it available when you need it.

  7. I see that some material is labeled in red. What does this mean?
    Material found on the teacher version in red denotes material that is not available to students.

  8. I like an activity that you have but would like to alter the questions. Can I do this?
    Yes, most activities are available as PDF and Word. Simply open up the word version of the questions and make any edits you would like.

  9. How can I play the videos at full screen?
    After you open up a video you would like to view, simply click on the square located in the lower right hand portion of the screen.

  10. I need a quick reference on a particular topic. Where can I find this?
    You should start by looking in the At A Glance section of the site.

  11. PowerPoint presentations are not working or appear to be broken.
    Many sites have content filters which may affect how PowerPoint presentations load. You can resolve this by first saving the file to you local system (right-click over link and select Save As...) then opening the file from your local system.
