Limitation of Liability

You agree that you will hold harmless AIHE and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from all claims arising out of or related to your access or use of, or your inability to access or use, this Website or the information contained in this Website or other websites to which it is linked. This includes, but is not limited to, information or materials viewed or downloaded from this Website or another website to which it is linked that appear to you or are construed by you to be obscene, offensive, defamatory, or that infringe upon your intellectual property rights. In no event will AIHE or the contributors of information to this Website be liable to you or anyone else for any decision made or action taken by you in reliance on such information or for any consequential, special or similar damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Use of Materials

All materials provided on this Web Site, including but not limited to information, documents, products, logos, graphics, sounds, images, software, templates, and services ("Materials"), are provided either by AIHE or third party sponsors, manufacturers, authors, developers, and vendors ("Third Party Providers") and are the copyrighted work of AIHE and/or their respective Third Party Providers.

You have the right to copy, reproduce, distribute, download, display, or transmit Materials on this website under the following conditions: (1) you must attribute the Materials to CICERO, but not in any way that suggests that AIHE or CICERO endorses you or your use of the work; (2) you may not use this Material for commercial purposes; (3) if you alter, transform, or build upon any Material, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same license of the original Material. That is you agree that your derivative Materials are limited under the same or similar conditions as the original Material. Original and derivative Materials cannot be distributed in such a manner that will destroy or decrease the value of CICERO. You may not "mirror" any Materials contained on this Web Site on any other server without AIHE’s prior written consent.

Acceptable Use

The account issued to you by AIHE and CICERO: History Beyond The Textbook™ shall be used only in the manner described below. Violations of these rules may result in termination of access and/or be cause for legal action.

1. The account shall be used only by the person to whom it is issued. You are responsible for the actions of anyone using your account.
2. All passwords issued are to be held privately and securely. The subscriber is responsible for all use of their accounts and for protecting each account's password. In other words, do not share computer accounts. If someone else learns your password, you must change it.
3. The account shall not be used for unauthorized access and/or attempts to access computers, computer software, computer data or information, or networks without proper authorization, regardless of whether the computer, software, data, information, or network in question is owned by AIHE.
4. The user shall not take advantage of another's inexperience or negligence to gain access to any computer account or electronic resource for which he or she has not received explicit permission to access.
5. The user shall not send fraudulent computer messages, break into another user's electronic mailbox, or read someone else's electronic messages without his or her permission.
6. The user shall not use CICERO’s electronic communications systems to harass or threaten other users.
7. The user should report any abuse of the above to their organization’s security or information technology department and notify AIHE by sending email to abuse@cicerohistory.com.
